Cherry Audio's Elka-X synthesizer is now available at 🤍bit.ly/elka-x and authorized resellers worldwide at the extraordinary price of only $39. Don't miss the first in a series of our introductory videos created by Tim Shoebridge for Cherry Audio to get up and running on the Elka-X at 🤍youtu.be/6qJgP9j5w-w About Elka-X Synthesizer Cherry Audio precisely crafted each aspect of the Elka-X synthesizer to sound and behave exactly like a vintage hardware Synthex. Every effort was taken to emulate the prized tone of the original's DCOs, dynamic filter, and stunning chorus. The innovative sound-sculpting and performance features such as layering and keyboard split have been preserved, and the original's 128-step sequencer has been greatly improved. As with its other synthesizer and effects products, Cherry Audio has kept the soul of a classic alive while updating its feature set for modern studio environments. Elka-X expands the polyphony and filter modes and introduces mono and unison modes that were absent from the original design. The extended functionality of the LFOs and addition of velocity response expands modulation potential, and a new arpeggiator delivers new performance possibilities. Unique panel controls make it painless to exchange settings between layers, sequencer tracks, and even different presets. In addition to the original chorus effect, Elka-X adds studio-quality echo and reverb stereo effects, with independent settings for both layers. With additional touches such as chord memory, over 600 pro patches, and flexible MIDI mapping, Cherry Audio's Elka-X brings the authentic and expanded Synthex experience roaring into the 21st century. Cherry Audio always pleasantly surprises me with their new synthesizer designs at more than reasonable prices; It's in my top ten
This is the best sounding synth cherry has done!
Please make a roland sh2 sh9 sh1 inspired mono synth for that roland bonk bass, the roland sh2 vst only has 64 steps on the env mod for the filter and severely limits the sweet spots... i hate it. roland envs are so cool for bass, and the moog stuff is so different. i want roland bass in the box..
make an Oberhausen plz
Not saying its not worth the $39 bucks might as well say $40 bucks... But I just bought a brand new Korg D1 and not really buying anything else till Christmas... I bought some Cherry audio synths in the past for like $29 bucks so I bought a few... Got about six of them all together... The are nice emulations and are stacked with presets which is something I like... They all have a nice loud sound to them as well... Well done Cherry Audio maybe I will get the ELKA-X for X-mass... ☮🔥🎹
Another home run! Love the reproduction of all your synths, the prices you offer, and consistently moving forward and putting out more and more synths, unlike so many others. In my mind you guys stand out, way above the rest, keep up the amazing work!!! By the way, any chance you're working on a JP-8, or even a JP-6? That would be so amazing...oh and I almost forgot, thank you for always including a generous amount of usable presets! Like I said, no one else can compete with your offerings!
Oh, this is going to be worth having! Exciting times :) Thank you.
wow wow wow great Job the best !!! Analog perfekt !!!He Gays great great great Sound and Job

I owned a crumar composer back in the day. I hated it. Sustains cut off if you played another note. I couldn’t get past that.
What do you guys have against polyphonic aftertouch?
Really great work.. can 't wait for your take on JP-8
The sound of this synth is mesmerizing, but this VST is the biggest CPU hog I have ever used....how is this possible?? I am running 3 instances of the Elka(on the lowest quality setting) and I have a quad-core processor with 16GB of RAM, PC is on high performance mode and I have my DAW buffer size set to 2048. Despite all this, my DAW is stuttering & cracking & popping like a mofo...WTF!?
If it can do Jarre's "Laser Harp" sound correctly then I'm in. Can it? There's at least one Synthex VST that - sadly - can't do it properly.
Can we get drum machines next ?
magnifico
Amazing as always
In 1984 I had a week to study for my electronics exam. On Sunday Martin, a good friend of mine, came by with a synthesizer he had bought. It was the Elka Synthex. I was amazed, what a huge thing and what possibilities. Much to my delight and surprise, Martin said that I could borrow the Synthex for a week. I was so happy as a child. I had longed for a synthesizer of my own for several years and suddenly there was one at home. There was very little study that week. I went all out, made beautiful and weird sequences and experimented a lot. I found the joystick very special to manipulate the sounds with it.
The following Sunday Martin came to collect the Synthex. It was with a heavy heart that I said goodbye. I only had a few hours left to study. With lead in my shoes I went to my exam on Monday. To my luck, a lot of questions were about AD converters. Now let that be a subject I knew quite a bit about. That knowledge resulted in a good grade and I obtained my diploma.
For many years I have tried to get a Synthex, but alas. Until today. Cherry Audio releases the Elka-X. I'm glad I have a day off today. It's not hard to guess what I'm going to play with today....
I called it.... Nailed it... This is a dream come true actually. and a very ignored emulation to this point, and a synth i have wanted my entire life.....
