The latest version of Predictive Cruise Control uses images from the camera on the windscreen and data from the navigation system to detect speed restrictions as well as bends, and automatically adjusts the speed in anticipation. The new Emergency Assist for multi-lane roads automatically steers the car to the roadside in emergencies, where it brings the car to a stop. It does so in a controlled manner and taking into account traffic in other lanes. To do this, the system uses Lane Assist and Park Assist as well as the radar sensors belonging to Side Assist. Whilst the familiar Blind Spot Detect has a range of up to 20 m, Side Assist works at a distance of up to 70 m. Furthermore, the ŠKODA SUPERB now also offers Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian Protection. This warns of a potential collision visually, acoustically and by gently applying the brakes, and automatically slows the car down in emergencies. Also making their ŠKODA debut in all of the SUPERB models are a new electromechanical brake booster and aerodynamic covers on the rear axle suspension, which improve driving stability. Three diesel and three petrol engines In addition to the plug-in hybrid drive available for the new ŠKODA SUPERB iV, there is a choice of six other engines which all fulfil the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard. There are ten different engine/drive combinations to choose from. The 1.6 TDI producing 88 kW (120 PS) is fitted with a 7-speed DSG as standard. For the 2.0 TDI delivering 110 kW (150 PS) - the first TDI from the latest EVO generation - the power is transmitted by either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG. The top-of-the-range 2.0 TDI diesel offering 140 kW (190 PS) comes with a 7-speed DSG as standard and all-wheel drive is optional. All three diesel engines are equipped with an SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue injection and a diesel particulate filter. The 1.5 TSI outputting 110 kW (150 PS) is the entry-level petrol engine and is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG. The new 2.0 TSI outputting 140 kW (190 PS) features a 7-speed DSG as standard; the top-of-the-range 2.0 TSI delivering 200 kW (272 PS) comes with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed DSG as standard. All three TSIs are fitted with a petrol particulate filter. New ŠKODA grille and a chrome trim at the rear ŠKODA has slightly modified the exterior of the SUPERB and has carefully refined the front section. The redesigned front bumper means the car's length has increased by 8 mm to 4,869 mm in the ŠKODA SUPERB, and by 6 mm to 4,862 mm in the ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI. The wheelbase measures 2,841 mm, whilst the car's width is 1,864 mm. Its height is 1,469 mm, or 1,477 mm in the estate. By offering a boot capacity that ranges from 625 to 1,760 l in the ŠKODA SUPERB and 660 to 1,950 l in the ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI, the Czech car manufacturer's top model remains the very best in the segment. The typical ŠKODA grille now bears double slats, is larger and protrudes a little further down into the front bumper. Even in their entry-level version, the narrower headlights come with LED technology as standard for the dipped and high beam, daytime running lights and position light, - and now reach up to the grille. At the rear, a horizontal chrome trim, which connects the full LED tail lights and the new 'ŠKODA' block lettering catch the eye. As part of the optional ambient lighting, LED spotlights project 'ŠKODA' onto the ground when the doors are opened. Completing the model update, new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels and the colours Crystal Black and Race Blue have been added to the range of customisation options. The top trim level, L&K, offers identical dimensions but the Air Curtains, side sills and rear bumper set themselves apart with new chrome details. It can also be identified by the 'Laurin & Klement' lettering on the front wings. Chrome trim surrounds and connects the fog lights in the front air inlet. The aerodynamically optimised 18-inch Propus Aero alloy wheels - available as standard - are new; and the standard equipment for the L&K variant also includes adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control.

Check dan zeker dit Skoda Superb aankoopadvies. De Skoda Superb maakt al sinds 2002 deel uit van de line-up van Skoda. De eerste generatie (3U) werd gebouwd van 2002 tot 2008 en de tweede generatie Superb (3T) van 2008 tot 2015. De focus van dit occasion aankoopadvies ligt op de derde generatie Skoda Superb (3V). Die verscheen in 2015 en wordt op het moment van schrijven nog steeds geproduceerd. Er is keuze uit twee carrosserievarianten: de hatchback of de extra ruimte Superb Combi. Ten opzichte van de tweede generatie Superb is generatie drie zelfs vijf centimeter breder. Daar profiteren natuurlijk inzittenden van. Want je krijgt nog meer beenruimte en schouderruimte, terwijl het in de tweede generatie ook al niet behelpen was wat betreft leefruimte. Skoda denkt ook slim na over die ruimte. Skoda rust elke Superb van deze generatie bijvoorbeeld uit met paraplu’s in beide voorportieren, koeling in het dashboardkastje, een ijskrabber bij de tankklep, een uitneembare led-zaklamp in de bagageruimte, een elektronisch kinderslot op de achterportieren, twee plastic strips met klittenband op de laadvloer zodat bagage niet verschuift en - tot slot - een compacte prullenbak voorin. In 2019 kwam er een facelift van de Skoda Superb (3V). Die kreeg onder meer smallere lichtunits, voluit geschreven Skoda-letters op de achterklep en een opgewaardeerd interieur met ook nieuwe infotainment. Objectively the Kodiaq is a strong and practical family hauler that’s well-suited to modern life with kids. But the fact that it has seven-seats and costs less than many of its key rivals makes it a really compelling answer to your new car question. Despite its attention-grabbing prices, the Kodiaq is anything but a budget car and feels a rung or two above the Nissan X-Trail, while on par with the latest Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe when it comes to equipment, quality, comfort and roadholding. Even the more expensive Land Rover Discovery Sport gets much closer to the mark, but still can’t match the Skoda’s practicality on the inside. It could easily wear a Volkswagen badge, for example, but it dramatically undercuts the Tiguan Allspace, while simultaneously providing more room and equipment. Only Peugeot’s 5008 and the Kodiaq’s close cousin, the SEAT Tarraco, offer similar flexibility and value for money. What’s it like inside? Skoda’s largest SUV can come with room for seven people across three rows of seats. The middle row slides in a 60:40-split formation, while a pair of adults will just about fit in the third row pair without too much discomfort. The boot is a good size even with the third row in place – more so than in its rivals – while folding the seats into the floor frees up a vast amount of boot space. Finally, extra storage areas are abundant in the Kodiaq, with two gloveboxes, large door bins, big central area beneath the armrest and extra options to aid flexibility available on the options list. What’s it like to drive? No matter which power source you choose, the Kodiaq is a big and comfy cruiser. But the engine makes a big difference. There are three petrols and two diesels to choose from. The lower-powered versions of each offer 150hp, jumping up to more powerful 190-200hp units that are available exclusively with an automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. Skoda also offers a pokey vRS version for drivers seeking something quicker. Its petrol engine puts out 245hp via an all-wheel drive system and is capable of 0-62mph in around 6 seconds. Previously, vRS versions were diesels, but these were canned in 2020 due to emissions regulations. What model and trims are available? The starting point of SE Drive trim already comes with plenty of kit, including rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, DAB radio and a choice of five or seven seats. LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and wireless Apple CarPlay plus Amundsen navigation also feature on the 8.0-inch touchscreen. SE Drive is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations. Progress to an SE L Executive model for a more generous kit roster. It adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a larger multimedia touchscreen, adaptive LED headlights, heated leather seats with electric adjustment, and an electric tailgate. Even more luxuries are part of the package with the pricier Laurin & Klement range-topper, while an athletic vibe is part of the SportLine models’ appeal. The vRS model is the most sporting. As well as receiving the most powerful engine, it also comes with 20-inch wheels, Alcantara seats, and more vRS badges than you can shake a stick at. Leasing online The Skoda Kodiaq is available with some good deals, principally because it’s a popular choice with decent resale values. Monthly Kodiaq prices start from £388. But more specifically, there’s a deep storage tray in front of the gearlever, large doorbins front and rear and a reasonably large front armrest, which houses a tray with two cupholders in it – all of which adds to the Skoda’s already imperious practicality credentials. The rearmost seats aren’t the most spacious, but room in the third row is good for this class of car and it is possible for average-size adults to get comfortable, though they won’t want to spend hours in the back. Access to the front two rows is very good, with low door sills and long doors making getting in and out easier than most high-riding off-roaders. Skoda fans, this one’s for you! We’ve got our hands on every generation of Skoda vRS, and they’re all about to go head-to-head in a drag race! That's right, we've got two Fabias, four Octavias, one Kodiaq and one Enyaq for the ultimate Skoda showdown! We’ve got 8 cars in this line-up, with the most powerful being the new Enyaq vRS. With dual electric motors, this all-electric SUV can produce 299hp and 460Nm. It’s also the heaviest car here, mind, weighing in at 2,178kg. In contrast, we have Mat in the least powerful car, the Mk1 Fabia vRS. With a 1.9-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel under the bonnet, this mini Fabia can put down 130hp and 310Nm. This is the new Skoda Enyaq! It’s fair to say that in 2021 electric SUVs are a bit like small, crossover SUVs have been for the past few years… They’re everywhere!! Almost every major manufacturer has an EV SUV available to buy, so does the Enyaq offer enough to stand out from the crowd? Well when it comes to performance, there are two options to choose from - the entry level ’60’, or the ’80’. They both come with RWD, and the 60 provides 180hp from a single electric motor along with a claimed range of 256 miles from a 62kWh battery pack. As for the 80, it’s also powered by a single electric motor, although this one offers 204hp, while the larger 82kWh battery pack will apparently provide you with 333 miles of range! As for the interior, it’s certainly more than impressive, and your focus will be immediately drawn to the 13-inch infotainment screen which comes with all models. Thanks: Özaydın Otomotiv 🤍 🤍 Skoda Octavia vRS 2022 review – a more practical and more resolved Golf GTI The current Octavia vRS doesn’t just repackage a Golf GTI into a more practical form, it adds in more style and polish, too. Skoda’s fourth-generation Octavia vRS doesn’t stray far from the tried and tested formula that’s served the Czech hot hatch and fast estate well for nearly two decades. It still sits on an extended version of the Golf’s platform, that of the new Mk8 in this instance, and borrows its engine and gearbox and much of the latest technology the VW Group has been handing out to its brands in recent years. There’s plenty of variations available, with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains that are all derived from VW’s high-specification Golfs. Petrol buyers have the option of a six-speed manual (in 2022, fancy that), but all models otherwise get a dual-clutch ’box. Diesel models are optionally available with all-wheel drive – the same Haldex system used in the Golf R and various Audis. Depending on the specification and body style the new Octavia’s kerb weight falls between 1425kg for the manual petrol and up to 1630kg for the PHEV estate. If you’re at all up with the VW Group lingo, you won’t be surprised to read that the vRS petrol uses the GTI’s EA888 2-litre turbocharged engine. Here it shares its specific outputs with the base VW, producing 242bhp and 273lb ft of torque, and will reach 62mph in 6.8sec with the manual, or 6.7sec with the DSG. The 197bhp four-cylinder turbo diesel is in an equivalent specification to the Golf GTD and paired to its chunky 295lb ft of torque makes for a brilliant high-speed cruiser, even if the engine can be a bit vocal under hard use. It comes with two or four-wheel drive, but we’d say the front-wheel drive has enough traction to render the driven rear axle a fruitless addition unless you plan on taking it to the Alps every winter. Zero to 62mph times are slower for the diesels, though, with the two-wheel-drive version managing the sprint in 7.6sec and the 4x4 in 7.1sec for both hatch and estate. It’s time for the off-road battle you didn’t know you needed in your life… Until today! We’ve got our hands on a Porsche Cayenne and Skoda Kodiaq vRS, and we’re about to test them over a series of off-road challenges to which is best once they leave the tarmac! So let’s see how these cars stack up. Starting with the Skoda, it’s powered by a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can produce 245hp and 370Nm of torque. It’s equipped with four-wheel drive, and a new one will cost around £48,000. Then we have the Porsche Cayenne. Under the bonnet, it’s equipped with a 3-litre V6 turbo coupled with an electric motor, which combines to put down 462hp and 700Nm of torque. Just like the Skoda it also comes with 4WD. So they’re both pretty powerful, but it’s fair to say neither of these cars were built for advanced off-roading! So bar them both coming with an off-road driving mode, that’s your lot! Un nuovo allestimento pensato appositamente per le necessità e le preferenze del mercato italiano: questo è in sostanza la nuova versione Black Dots della Skoda Kamiq, una B-SUV particolarmente spaziosa che occupa quasi il 30% delle vendite totali di Skoda in Italia. La parola d'ordine qui è "Nero": le cromature hanno lasciato spazio al nero lucido sulla calandra e sulle calotte degli specchietti, mentre il nero opaco si occupa dei mancorrenti sul tettuccio. Neri diamantati anche i cerchi in lega, di serie da 17" o optional da 18" come nel video, e per la prima volta anche un lettering nero dei brand "Skoda" e "Kamiq" sul portellone - un qualcosa finora riservato esclusivamente alla famiglia modelli RS del marchio ceco. Le dotazioni, oltre ai già citati cerchi in lega da 17", offrono di serie anche lo schermo dell'infotainment da 8" con sistema Smartlink per la compatibilità Apple CarPlay e Android Auto, insieme al clima automatico bi-zona e ai sensori di parcheggio posteriori. Ci sono Lane Assist e cruise control, ma quest'ultimo non è adattivo - ed è una cosa sensata, perché la destinazione d'uso di questa vettura è sicuramente il contesto cittadino e qui un cruise control adattivo difficilmente verrà sfruttato. Fra gli optional disponibili si possono selezionare il Pack City, che aggiunge fra gli altri i sensori di parcheggio anteriori e la retrocamera, così come il portellone con apertura elettrica anziché manuale o i già citati cerchi in lega da 18". Volendo si può anche optare per un interno sportivi con sedili avvolgenti e poggiatesta integrati. Optional potenzialmente utili e interessanti ma non realmente necessari, per un modello e un allestimento che di fatto garantiscono già tutto ciò che serve per la guida in città, in extraurbano e in qualche sporadico viaggio su distanze più lunghe. Insomma, non ci sono dotazioni che vadano veramente aggiunte a quanto offerto di serie nella Kamiq Black Dots. Il listino prezzi parte da 25.350 euro per la motorizzazione 1.0 TSI 95 CV abbinata al cambio manuale a 5 marce, mentre per una versione a cambio automatico bisogna salire ai 27.950 euro della 1.0 TSI 110 CV DSG7. Volendo c'è a listino anche la variante 1.5 TSI 150 CV, ma per un B-SUV da città come la Kamiq potrebbe essere più azzeccato il 1.0 TSI per il rapporto prestazioni/prezzo. Well, we’re about to find out! So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the AMG, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 which can deliver 585hp and 850Nm of torque. It’s also built on a ladder frame chassis with 3 lockable diffs, and it’s pretty heavy, tipping the scales at around 2,500kg. In comparison, the Skoda Yeti comes in a whole lot lighter, at around 1,500kg! But it’s also way down on power, with its tuned 2-litre TDI Diesel engine producing 181hp and 407Nm. However, it’s also been lifted and had some underfloor support added to it, so it’s definitely prepared to go off-road! So how will this one play out - will it be an easy win for the G63? It is very small and compact on the outside but remarkably roomy and spacious inside and in the boot. Under the bonnet is a frugal 85kW 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with front-wheel drive, but you can also get a 110kW turbo four-cylinder. The Kamiq competes with its cousin, the Volkswagen T-Cross, plus other compact SUVs like the Ford Puma, Hyundai Venue, Kia Stonic, Toyota Yaris Cross and others. It is quite a lot more expensive than when it launched, however. The 2023 Kamiq 85TSI Style costs $37,990 driveaway. The four-cylinder models start at $42,490 driveaway. Thanks: Özaydın Otomotiv 🤍 New Skoda Kodiaq vRS 2022 review The vRS sits at the top of the Skoda Kodiaq range, but is it our favourite? Verdict The previous Kodiaq vRS wasn’t our favourite model in the range, because we felt it didn’t add enough to an already excellent SUV to justify the high price. The same applies here, except that the previous diesel engine was better suited to the car's character – and was more economical, too. This is the Skoda Kodiaq vRS. Much like the rest of the range, the performance flagship of the brand’s seven-seat SUV lineup received a host of subtle cosmetic upgrades inside and out for 2022, but the most significant change for this range-topper is found under the bonnet. That’s because in a departure from the old twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel, the latest vRS moves back to petrol power; a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit with 242bhp. We’ll come onto what that’s done for the driving experience shortly, but the first impressions are defined by its new look. The changes aren’t too drastic, but the new front end, which gains a wider, more upright grille, looks more imposing than before. The new design is flanked by new, slimmer headlights which get Matrix LED technology. Elsewhere, there’s not too much that’s changed. Most obvious are the new 20-inch alloy wheels that feature jazzy plastic ‘aero’ covers. Inside, the handsome new steering wheel lifts the quality of an already finely finished SUV, while the optional panoramic sunroof fitted to our test car (a £1,230 extra) floods all three rows with light, really helping to lift the moody black and red theme. Up front, the seat backs are trimmed in alcantara, and the side bolsters hold you firmly in place. Storage is as great as ever, with a dual glove box in the dash, big door bins and space for seven people. Or a huge 630-litre boot, if you fold the third row into the floor. If you do need to make use of all of the seats, the middle bench can slide forward so that, at a push, an adult can fit in the third row. On to the engine, then. At first glance, the petrol’s 5bhp increase and a 0.4 second drop in 0-62mph time compared to the outgoing diesel might suggest that the vRS has taken a step forward. But more significant is the torque figure; at 370Nm, the new engine is a significant 130Nm down on what the vRS had before. It’s silly to call any car that’s capable of a 6.6-second 0-62mph time ‘slow’, but what is clear is that the new model needs working much harder to ultimately make the same progress as before. It’s an engine that does its best work at higher revs; while that might be a likeable quality in a VW Golf GTI with which this engine is shared, in a large seven-seat SUV, it just seems a little inappropriate. The diesel was a better match. And a more frugal one. Officially, the new model hits 31.7mpg, while the diesel option was at least 3.3mpg less thirsty based on the same WLTP tests. In the real world, you’ll be doing well if the number you’re getting starts with a three. There’s an odd character to the engine, courtesy of an artificial soundtrack. Switch the car into Sport mode where it’s at its loudest, and the sound piped through the speakers transforms this four-cylinder into something that mimics the five-pot turbo that powers the Audi RS 3. It’s quite a love/hate feature; if you’re in the latter camp, at least it can be switched fully off in individual mode. The gearbox can frustrate at times, too. It’s fine at inching along in traffic, and it’s also happy to engage in a full-bore acceleration run, but anything in between – say, pulling onto a roundabout where you’d like to get a move on without trying to use every horsepower available – causes a long, lazy pause followed by a jerky jolt into life.
