With the X-H2S, Fujifilm has a new flagship camera. It has a new 26.2-megapixel stacked sensor that delivers shooting speeds up to 40 fps in electronic shutter mode. At the same time, it has the most advanced video features of any APS-C camera, with up to 6.2K video, 4K 120p and 1080 240p. It also offers in-body stabilization, a high-resolution EVF, CFexpress support and more. The main drawback, and it’s a small one, is that the autofocus still isn’t quite as fast as we’ve seen on Sony and Canon’s latest APS-C cameras. Now I'm not a guy who relies too heavily on a camera's specs as what matters most to me is what I can see with my naked eye. On paper the medium format Fuji GFX100s should blow the APS-C Fuji X-T4 out of the water, but I wanted to put the comparison to the test in a real world scenario during my recent trip to Utah. In this video, I take you along on a hike to an overlook that I've never been too before, but have seen images of, to perform this Medium Format vs APS-C camera test. I picked this location as it's a vast and tremendous scene that stretches for miles. I figured this would be a great scenario to test the resolution of the 102MP Fuji GFX100s and the 26MP Fuji X-T4. Also, I get to this location as the sun is rising which also creates a good opportunity to test the dynamic range of both of these camera sensors as well. So nothing real scientific here just a real world comparison to see if the difference between the Medium Format and APS-C is so great that you can easily see it with your naked eye!
