Spring has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere. It's time to say goodbye to the winter constellations (among others, Taurus, Orion, Canis Major, Monoceros). These are areas rich in spectacular nebulae such as: Orion - M42, Pleiades - M45, Horsehead - Barnard 33, Flame - NGC 2024, Crab - M1, Rosette - 2237, and tons of Star Clusters. In this video you will see the pictures (astrophotography) of the Deep Sky Objects I took this winter through my telescope. Unfortunately, this winter I had little opportunity to photograph the sky (mainly through the clouds). Next winter I will try to take better pictures. This is a start to finish tutorial where I walk you through how to capture a deep space target using a beginner-friendly and portable astrophotography setup. I then walk you through how to process that data to get to a final image using Siril, a free astronomy imaging processing tool. This video is geared towards beginners - something I wish I might have come across in my earlier days. Just a note: during the intervalometer portion of this video, be sure to set your INTVL (interval) to include both your exposure time + the additional time you want between sub exposures. For example, if you are taking 60.0 second sub exposures and want an interval of 5 seconds in between each exposure, be sure to plug in 00:01:05 in the INTVL (interval) section rather than just 5 seconds. #astrophotography #astronomy #deepspace #deepsky #nebula #beginners #spacephotography Music created and produced by: 🤍Jason Mathews My Gear: Tripod: Feisol CT 3441T 🤍 Star Tracker Bundle: Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Pro Pack 🤍 Camera Lens: Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED (for Canon) 🤍 Camera: Canon EOS Ra (Discontinued) Comparable (unmodified): Canon EOS R 🤍 Light Pollution Filter: Astronomik CLS CCD EOS R Clip-Filter Comparable: OPTolong-L Professional Deep Sky Broadband Clip-Filter 🤍 Camera Lens Adapter: Canon EF to EOS 🤍 Bahtinov Mask for Rokinon 135mm 🤍 External Intervalometer: Shoot Timer Remote RS-60E3 for Canon Comparable: Neewer 6-in-1 Time Shutter Release 🤍 External Illuminator Panel: AGPtek New A4 LED Artcraft Tracing Lightpad 🤍 Software: Star Adventurer Console App iOS: 🤍 Android: 🤍 Polar Scope Align iOS: 🤍 Stellarium iOS: 🤍 Android: 🤍 SkySafari iOS: 🤍 Android: 🤍 Siril 🤍 Scripts: 🤍 AFFILIATE LINKS: Some of the links above are affiliate links, which means at no extra cost to you, I will make a small commission if you click them and make a qualifying purchase, which helps support my channel so I can continue creating more videos.
