DRACO - The Most Badass Monster Bush Plane EVER just like the full scale version. It flies like it and it is beautiful. I didn't expect this DRACO to fly today as I was walking to my car with my heavy camera and no tripod on hand; I had to film it when I saw Ali Machinchy (well known RC Pilot worldwide) was about to take off with the DRACO, and with my heavy 400mm lens with Sony A9 cagd on windy, gusty day started to document. Ali did an awesome job flying DRACO in a basically- an hurricane force wind (30 knots). Despite my anti-wind noise AKA-dead cat on my camera....the sound was still distorted. Sorry for the poor audio and marginal video. I wanted to get a video out of this highly anticipated plane! This is the first public video of DRACO. I've gotten a lot text from friend to film ALI if he goes out to fly it. This was a quick non-promotional video so you can see how this plane actually fly without editing the actual flights. It is an awesome plane out of the box. I think ,I will pre-order one.

Draco video starts around 2:40. Two Dracos maidened on a cloudy morning with some light rain. The plane is very impressive in the air. Ken did a few short take-offs and flew it a little harder. I just babied mine around getting a feel for how it responds. The lights looked great on a low light morning and overall an impressive model plane. We are starting to see some really nice vids of the plane being pushed harder - here is a great example from Michael Cline 🤍 Intern-X continues to make great progress as he begins his RC journey! Let me start be saying I was extremely lucky in this crash that I didn't damage the nose and motor mount hardly at all. Thank to all my friends that helped pick up every single piece of foam from the wreck because I used every piece to make Draco whole again. What went wrong? Was it the planes fault... Well, no. The only time I usually crash airplanes these days is when I'm doing really stupid things and this day was no exception. Anthony and I were flying together, Anthony with his Carbon Cessna 150 and me with the Draco. I proposed a competition to see who could take off and land within 5 ft of the take off spot. We were getting pretty good. We had both tried about 5-7 times and we were within 1 second of each others time at 13 seconds or so. I noticed that on a few attempts that I started a tip stall but was able to recover. It scared me but I was pushing the boundaries. The crash came when I flew up and was turning around. My speed got too slow and my stall was too low and what you see in this video is the result. Sad for sure but to me, it's all part of the flying experience. I spent a few days installing skis on the draco it was a fun build and install of the skis. No surprises went together very easy. We had so much fun once we got to the frozen lake probably too much fun in the end result was a crash lol. I will say if you look at the crash footage I think that it is very realistic to what happened when the real Draco crashed on its final flight let me know what you guys think.
