Philippines Street Food - AMAZING Filipino Food at Aling Sosing's Carinderia in Manila!

One of the best Filipino food meals you can eat in Manila! ►Subscribe to my channel for more food videos: 🤍 Aling Sosing's is often considered to be one of the best carinderias, or local Filipino food restaurants, in all of Manila. The crowd that shows up to eat lunch here everyday reinforces the fact that they are no doubt one of the spots you want to be in Manila, if you’re a food lovers. When I was eating in Manila, eating at Aling Sosing's was certainly among the best local Filipino food restaurants that I tried. Aling Sosing's is a very typical type of local street food restaurant, sitting on the corner of a street, near to Makati. Just like most carinderias, all the food is prepared ahead of time, and sits at the front of the restaurant. When you arrive to order, you just simply pick and choose the different dishes that you want to order, find a table, and they will bring you the dishes to your table. Additionally, some of the famous dishes to eat at Aling Sosing's are off the grill, and you’ll smell the wonderful aroma of the grilling meats the entire time you’re eating, and it’s fantastic. Ying and I arrived about 11 am on a weekday, and luckily we beat the main lunch traffic, but just barely. There were tables available when we arrived, but as soon as we sat down and order it filled up. Sof if you eat at Aling Sosing's Carinderia you might want to arrive before the main lunch rush. Additionally, some of the Filipino food dishes sell out fast, and they don’t cook them again for the day - once they are sold out, they are done for the day. Here are the main Filipino dishes I ordered: Pinakbet - A stew of mixed vegetables, oftentimes flavored with shrimp paste. This was the best versions of pinakbet I’ve ever had. Inihaw na tilapia - The grilled tilapia is quite well known at this restaurant. It was simple and delicious. Inihaw na liempo - The grilled pork belly is one of their signature dishes, and it’s every bit as good and smoky as it looks. Kaldereta - A Filipino food I love so much is kaldereta, a goat stew, mainly because I love goat so much. It was oily, but really good. Adobong pusit - I saw the squid the pot and decided to try it out. It was a little on the sweet side. Pork BBQ - Fresh off the grill, Ying and I ordered some of their pork bbq. The pork was tender and lathered in bbq, it was amazing. Total price - 640 PHP ($12.90) If you’re looking for a local Filipino restaurant in Manila that I think serves some of the best Filipino food, Aling Sosing's is a restaurant you’re going to want to check out. The food is awesome, the setting and positive atmosphere is refreshing, and the constant smoke from the grill will keep your nose happy and wanting more! Aling Sosing’s Carinderia Address: Palanan 5819 Zobel Roxas, Palanan Makati City, Philippines Open hours: 8 am - 6 pm from Monday - Saturday Camera gear I use: Main camera: 🤍 Main lens: 🤍 2nd camera: 🤍 2nd lens: 🤍 Microphone: 🤍 Gorillapod: 🤍 *These are Amazon affiliate links I would love to connect with you! Cordova is just a short drive from Cebu, yet it’s a totally different world - quiet, relaxing, and still some countryside. The Yangco family has a fantastic property with a farm, vegetables, and even chickens. A boodle fight is a communal style of eating where everyone stands around a table and eats together communally. For this Filipino food boodle fight they are making a couple dishes - a very unique roasted chicken in a tin can wrapped in a banana stalk. Humba bisaya, a braised pork stew that’s one of the favorite dishes of the Visayas, and finally kinalaw - raw fish marinated in vinegar, and this time with grilled pork. 🇵🇭 Philippines Oyster Mountain: 🤍 🌶️ Get Smoked Ghost Pepper: 🤍 (affiliate link) 🔔 Subscribe: 🤍 BACOLOD, PHILIPPINES - Welcome to Bacolod, one of the food capitals of the Philippines! They are known for a few speciality foods, but probably the most famous, and a food you’ll find all over the Philippines is chicken inasal - a unique style of barbecue chicken! Today we’re going on an ultimate bbq tour in Bacolod, and we’re going to uncover the secret as to why it’s so good! The Bacolod Food Hunters (🤍 - Huge thank you to Martin and the team from The Bacolod Food Hunters for taking me around in Bacolod and for showing me some of the best places to eat bbq! Here are the locations and the places we ate in this video: Aida's Chicken (🤍 - We’re starting at Manokan Country, probably the most famous place in Bacolod for chicken inasal, and it’s really so incredibly iconic. There are a few dozen places to choose from, but Martin recommended Aida’s as one of the local favorites. We were lucky to get into the kitchen to see the grilling action, and it’s some of the most exciting grill action you’ll see! One of the secrets of chicken inasal, along with all the marinade, is the continual basting of chicken oil and anatto as its being grilled. This keeps the chicken juicy and moist, and when you eat it, you eat more chicken oil in the rice. Total price - 687 PHP ($12.53) for everything. Chai Rose Barbecue (🤍 - To continue this Filipino food tour we went to another legendary bbq spot on Bacolod known as Chai Rose Barbecue. They have insasal as well, but their speciality is pork bbq skewers. The taste is sweet and salty and it goes great along with chicken oil rice as well. Silay City BBQ - We continued on to a small Filipino barbecue stall under a tree in Silay City. The family was so friendly and welcoming, and they have the full bbq spread of about 20 different skewers to choose from. The bbq was hot and delicious and especially good with Aunty’s homemade chili vinegar. Total price - 170 PHP ($3.10) Man Plaza - Finally to complete this Filipino street food tour of barbecue and inasal in Bacolod we went to one more legendary place - a place that’s frequented by local students in the area - Man Plaza. It’s an entire bbq plaza all under one roof with about a dozen stalls to choose from. We chose a place called Royam’s. Expect plenty of smoke and friendly people! And that completes this ultimate Philippines barbecue inasal tour in Bacolod, one of the world’s greatest grilled chicken recipes! 🎵MUSIC: 🤍 —————————————————— 📱FOLLOW: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 —————————————————— 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ NEW: Smoked Ghost Pepper Available Now: Direct: 🤍 Amazon: 🤍 (affiliate link on Amazon in US)

We’re going to see the full process and then go to eat one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the Philippines! The Bacolod Food Hunters (🤍 - First of all a huge thank you to Martin and the team from The Bacolod Food Hunters for taking me around in Bacolod. Eron's Cansi House (🤍 Cansi is a dish that includes huge beef bones simmered for hours until all the flavor is released and combined with ginger and onions, green chilies, and a especially a local fruit called batwan fruit (garcinia binucao), which gives the soup its sour taste. It’s really an amazing broth and so addictive as well. When they serve you cansi you can taste all the herbs and acidity which breaks down the richness of the meat. The flavor was incredible. In addition to cansi, at Eron’s you’ll find a full spread of local Filipino food which you can choose from. We enjoyed a variety of different dishes including local Bacolod seaweed, smashed eggplant, and some grilled pork belly. It was a fantastic meal and something you can’t miss when you visit Bacolod! Highly recommend Eron's Cansi House. 🎵MUSIC: 🤍 —————————————————— 📱FOLLOW: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 —————————————————— 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ NEW: Smoked Ghost Pepper Available Now: Direct: 🤍 Amazon: 🤍 (affiliate link on Amazon in US)

🇵🇭 Ultimate Filipino street food tour in Cebu: 🤍 🌶️ Get Smoked Ghost Pepper: 🤍 (affiliate link) 🔔 Subscribe: 🤍 CEBU, PHILIPPINES - Welcome to Cebu, the capital where you’ll find the best Filipino roast pig, better known as lechon. Today we’re going on an ultimate pig tour to eat the best lechon in the Philippines - maybe the entire world! It’s going to be a day of crispy skin, juicy pork, and the action is going to be insane! 🤍StanlyonMedia - First of all thank you to my friend Stanly from Stanly On Media - he’s the king of lechon and he’s been to so many lechon spots in and around Cebu so there’s no better person to go on a lechon tour with. Go follow Stanly for many more lechon recommendations in the Philippines: 🤍 Here are all the places we went in this Philippines street food tour: Gogoes Lechon (🤍 - First up is Gogoes lechon located north of Cebu. We arrived at 5 am to see the process of them roasting their lechon. They fill up the belly of the pig with sea salt and a combination of spices that includes ginger and especially green onions. The pigs roast for 3 - 4 hours, carefully being turned as they roast so the skin cooks and crispfies perfectly. It was sensational and a perfect way to start this ultimate Filipino lechon tour. (Price - they wouldn’t charge us) Ruthy's Lechon (🤍 - Next up we headed to Talisay, known as the birthplace of lechon, and where the original lechoneros come from. Stanly first took me to Ruthy’s one of the standards of lechon - packed and they fly through the pigs. We chopped up a 3 kilo belly section of the pig. The skin was insanely crispy, salty, and full of juicy green onions. Price - 2,940 pesos Lolo Soy's Lechon House - Finally, one of the greatest lechon’s in all of the Philippines, Lolo Soy's Lechon House. They fly through pigs and they had already sold over 20 pigs by the time we arrived. The action is out of control! We ordered a kilo and they also gave us some of the feet, plus some of the blood stew. Price - 750 per kg, we had 1 kg Paraz Native Lechon (🤍 - For our last stop on this ultimate Filipino lechon tour we drove down to Carcar, another famous lechon city. We went to Paraz Native Lechon where they sell over 50 pigs a day, and they use native natural pigs. The pigs are still roasted over coals using traditional bamboo skewers. They chop it up, it’s so insanely juicy and then they drizzle on the drippings with all the onions. Additionally, they are known for their chili vinegar, which is some of the best you’ll have anywhere. This was one of the greatest days of eating pig in my lechon, Cebu lechon really is the king of roast pig! Thank you again to 🤍StanlyonMedia for taking me on this ultimate tour of the lechon in the Philippines! 🎵MUSIC: 🤍 —————————————————— 📱FOLLOW: Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 —————————————————— 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ NEW: Smoked Ghost Pepper Available Now: Direct: 🤍 Amazon: 🤍 (affiliate link on Amazon in US)

Philippines Street Food - The ULTIMATE Filipino Food Tour of Quezon City, Metro Manila!

Check out this amazing Filipino street food in Quezon City, Philippines! ►Subscribe to my YouTube channel for more food videos: 🤍 ►Follow my Instagram for current updates: 🤍 First of all, I want to say a big thank you to my friend Reby for accompanying Ying and I on this Filipino street food tour of Quezon City. She loves to eat, and she’s just an awesome person! Quezon City is a city next to Manila, and it’s actually a bigger city than Manila, but it’s part of Manila. So for this Filipino street food tour, I met up with my great friend Reby, who is from Quezon City, and we hit the streets to find some incredibly delicious food. Here’s everywhere we went and the dishes that we ate. University of the Philippines Diliman - The University of the Philippines is known throughout Manila for its street food stalls, mainly because lots of students gather on campus to enjoy delicious food and hang out. Rodic’s Diner - Tapsilog - 95 PHP ($1.91) - We began at Rodic’s Diner a legendary diner at University of Philippines and tried their legendary tapsilog. This is a well known Filipino food dish that includes cured carabao (water buffalo) meat, topped over rice, with a fried egg on top as well. It makes a great breakfast dish, and it was a great way to start the day off with. Outside of the student center, you’ll find some other Filipino street food carts selling snacks like cheese ice cream (20 PHP ($0.40) and cheese corn (20 PHP ($0.40). Mang Larry's Isawan (Isaw - 60 PHP ($1.21) total) - Probaby the most famous street food at University of Philippines in Quezon City is Mang Larry's Isawan, a stall that serves grilled skewers of mostly pig and chicken intestines. The intestines and nice and clean, and grilled over hot fire, before you get them. When you get your skewers, you dip them in vinegar, or more like drown them in vinegar, and eat. They were truly incredible, like little bites of hollow crunchy sausage. Lagro Market - Continuing our Filipino street food tour of Quezon City, Reby brought us to a local market called Lagro Market. As soon as we arrived I noticed one of the coolest rotisserie chicken street food carts that I’ve ever seen, and we had to make a stop and try some of their chicken (lechon manok (roast chicken). The chicken was alright, a little dry, but tasty, and the setting and atmosphere, plus the chicken street food cart, was very cool. Half chicken - 85 PHP ($1.71). Buko (30 PHP ($0.60) - Buko is the word for young coconut, and there’s nothing more refreshing than a young coconut on the streets of Manila. Mango shrimp paste (7 PHP ($0.14) per piece) - Although this is a humble easy Filipino street food snack, it’s one of my favorites. A sour green mango is cut, then topped with spicy shrimp paste and you eat it like a caramel apple. Marawi, Mindanao, Philippines Food - We ended this Filipino food tour by going to a random street food stall that we came across, located across the street from the market. The little stall was serving a type of cuisine from Marawi, located on the Southern Philippines island of Mindanao. It was also Halal food, and they had a variety of typical Filipino food dishes like adobo, but also some Filipino dishes I had never tried before due to the regional differences. Although it looks simple and humble, Reby, Ying and I, all thought the food was fantastic. These are the type of street food stalls that I love to eat at most! Total price - 230 PHP ($4.62) Thank you again to Reby for showing us around and for the delicious Filipino food tour of Quezon City! Adobong baboy(pork adobo), is maybe one of the most famous Filipino dish found on every Filipino table. It is a dish consisting of pork, tangy sauce of vinegar, garlic, soy sauce and black pepper. Vinegar is a common ingredient found in many Filipino dishes and it’s one of the main ingredients in any adobo. Aside from pork adobo, there are also other versions of adobo such as "adobong sitaw", adobong kangkong" "adobong labong" etc. Some may regard Adobo to be the national dish of the Philippines because it is so popular.
