The Synco G1 (A1) Wirless Mic system is a direct competitor to the Rode Wireless GO. Synco have produced a product that has similar performance and also similar form factor. It comes in at half the price of the Rode version but is it half the quality? From my testing so far I have had nothing but positive results inside the studio and on commercial work. Synco also have another version where you can pair two transmitters to the single receiver device called the G1 (A2) 2 meaning two transmitters. During a recent shoot, I was able to use the Synco G1 (A1) wireless mic system in a real world photoshoot and was very disappointed in the performance of this system. I do not recommend this system as of right now. I bought this a little over one month ago and have been very impressed on how well it sounds and how easy it is to use straight out of the box. 🤍 - Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set Practical Review: As with most of the new tech I purchase or acquire that I will be using in my YouTube Videos for either my GetFitOver40 or ReplicaAirguns YouTube channels, I generally like to do some sort of a practical review for the item. In this case I take a look at the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set which is a pair of wireless transmitters that pair with a single dedicated receiver allowing me to quickly and easily capture good quality audio for my YouTube Videos. For the past couple of years my go to microphone setup for my YouTube Video was to use a generic lapel mic connected to my Samsung Galaxy Smartphone recording into an audio program. I would then send the audio file via dropbox to my computer where I would then line up the audio file with the video file in my video editing software to get a much higher quality and more clear voice recording versus what the camera mic would be able to capture. Also when I added the EQ I boosted a lot of the mid range frequencies and lowered the high end. I like a little more base in my mic and this one had plenty. Today I am out on the Kingsong S18 EUC riding offroad trails and I am testing out the Wireless Microphone System 2.4GHz, SYNCO G1(A1) Lavalier Lapel Mic with Transmitter Receiver Kit in very windy conditions. I am traveling at a good speed and the mic is directly in the wind. All I can say is that I am super impressed with how the mic system blocks out the wind noise but still make the voice and surrounding sounds come through. Just amazing. Kit setup used - Mic receiver plugged into my iPhone 12 with the lighting port adapter - Using the built in Voice recorder app to capture the audio - Shooting the video on my Insta360 One X - Importing the video and audio into Final Cut Pro X and syncing the audio - Job done The reason I went for this system was that it comes with all the cables needed to connect the system to a camera or phone. It also came with the lavalier mic, charging cables and min dead cat wind muff. At the time the base Rode Wireless Go system was around £150 and this SYNCO system was on offer for £85. SPEEDYFEET Shop here: 🤍 Positives of the Kingsong S18 - Awesome design - Wheel size and tyre rolling performance - Adjustable suspension to fit to your riding conditions - Trolley handle that is easy to operate - Good range but not the best - Good speed but not the fastest - Light and agile - Pedals are high from the ground creating excellent clearance - Built in mudguard that really keeps the wheel and suspension area clear - I think its a super fun EUC and a trail destroying machine. Not so positives of the Kingsong S18 - Can be a pain to get the right setting dialed in for the suspension - Its a pain to work on, ask Mario from Speedyfeet - Needs better weather protection, this really goes out to all wheels - I would like the option for a more offroad tyre like the Sherman as standard - More clearance between the tyre and the mudguard. This is more for UK muddy riding.
