Ureshino is famous for its hot spring spas featuring silky-smooth waters, and also for green tea and ceramics. Neither of us are very familiar with the area so we’ll just walk around and see what catches our eyes. Hizen Yume Kaido is a reconstruction of an Edo-era post station, with actors in period costume and ninja displays. Southeast of town, Tateiwa Observation Deck offers views of the surrounding tea plantations. A trail leads to the tri-level Todoroki Falls.

Four months have passed since the Kumamoto Earthquake which occurred in April 2016. Ten representatives from Japan and other countries who took part in Miss International Pageant 2015 and 2016 traveled around Kyushu as restoration support.
