However, in terms of shaving, that’s not the case. Today’s dominant shaving method, the cartridge razor, is not at the top because it’s the best method, but simply because it makes the most money for the manufacturers. With aggressive marketing brands like Gillette or the Dollar Shave Club have taught men that the cartridge razor with more blades is the way to go. In reality, the best shavers for men are decades old and sometimes pre-date sliced bread. So what am I talking about? The straight razor, the single-blade razor, and of course, the double-edged safety razor. Why should you switch to a razor? 00:59 1. It costs less. 01:35 2. You get a much closer shave. 02:33 3. You get less irritation. 02:51 4. You produce less waste. 03:17 Cons of the DE Razor 04:11 Single Edge VS. Three blade or more disposables razors are a waste of time. The key element for a great shave is using warm, not hot water, and wash the face very well before shaving. The best shave I've ever got was using a Gillette 2 disposable razor. Shaving with a safety razor was never even close to that.
that book is no longer a thing.
Double edged safety razor at dollar general for 7 bucks with 3 spare blades a pack of 5 blades is one dollar
I wish I knew sooner, but because the irritation I chose to grow a beard and had patience. Now I just shave my head and neckline. The border I pluck the hair for a really clean line
I bought a baili razor off temu website and I am hooked on the double edge and will buy a more expensive one later
Reality is they just arent.
It's almost like people want to believe so bad, but having used safety razors for years swapping over to something like a oneblade is just better by all metrics.
Enjoyed your video even though I am Blue Jean n T-Shirt guy.😇
You are a beast 👶🏽
Whatever the reason, I felt like John Wick.
Cartridge Razors give me the smoothest shave. Double edge works well, but at least for me not as well as cartridge. I use both and switch them up.
I came from cartridge shavers, then to electric shavers. Now, I use a DE shaver.
I gotta be honest. It took me a while to know the technique for my razor and face but when I got it, I am happy with my shave everyday.
It is cheaper to use DE razor in the long run too!
I use a Fusion 5. I can buy 16 cartridges at Sam’s Club for $30-$35. The blades last me a month. So I’m paying around $35 for almost a year and a half supply of blades. That’s not a bad investment in my opinion.
Every barber that ever used one of these on my face left me with the worst irritation ever.
I was a 1970's kid and most fathers back then either used a double edge razor (safety razor) or Trac 2 and later Atra pivot razor. My grandfather used safety razor until I got him a sensor razor so he could have some variety. My father went from safety razor to trac 2 razor, while I like to switch off. My favorites are Atra pivot and sensor. Some atra and trac 2 shave cartridges can be used with same razor handles. Safety razors are cheaper to buy but I get more shaving cuts too! Thanks for upload.
Just switched to safety razor, why didn’t I do it years and years ago
i bought my safety razor for less than 20€
I just go to the barber and shove around 5 dollars up his bum that’s like 20 dhs after ever two weeks
I noticed the ear at gb60XbJh6_U&t=6m50s 6:50 . When did you notice?
Start with DE, move to Shavette, then move to Straight Razor. The absolute best shaves.
